PDN article on me in Sept 2014 issue :)

HI! Here’s a nice article PDN Magazine did on me for the September 2014 issue. The article talks about how real the struggle is and how I took a photo essay idea and pitched it and photographed it around the country for my dream magazine client/photo editor heroes. I still can’t believe this all happened.

Outtake for Boomerang Kids project. I photographed Michael and his daughter Daisy (8 years old) in his parents house in Victorville, CA. This was one of the shoots I did on my own before pitching the story to the Times. This shot didn’t make it into the feature because Michael’s story was a bit more complicated beyond the factors of student loans and the economy; he is a single father who lives at home with his parents.
